Use of force by law enforcement officers is one of the most contentious issues in America today.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department faced heavy criticism in the past for excessive and controversial use-of-force cases. But by partnering with the Department of Justice on a reform process, Metro has become a national model for other police agencies.

The Mob Museum will host a discussion among key officials who participated in the reform process, including Crime and Justice Institute Director Christine Cole, LVMPD Captain Kelly McMahill and retired Metro assistant sheriff Greg McCurdy.

This panel will discuss hot-button issues such as:
• Body cameras and transparency
• De-escalation challenges and techniques
• Policy and training reforms
